CMD-100 Compression Measurement Device
Is a testing machine designed to measure the pressure exerted on the body by an elastic compression garment. Compression levels can be measured anywhere along the 36”L (91.5cm) former within the range of 2mm to 50mm of mercury. Garments are applied to the machine along the adjustable form. The form girth and slope can be changed using right and left adjustments. There are seven right and seven left redefined adjustment positions which are compatible with the British Standard Specification for Graduated Compression Hosiery, BS 6612:1985. In addition to compression, the CMD-100 can measure garment stiffness. This is the rate at which compression pressure changes across a garment’s specified size range. This data is very useful in garment design and in monitoring fabric elastic characteristics and properties.
